Media Training for Groups

SciLine offers customizable media communications training for groups.

• Media basics webinars that explain how the U.S. news landscape works, what reporters are looking for in a scientist-source, and how to prepare for and participate in a successful interview.
• In-person media training workshops. Presentations, discussion, and hands-on activities. Half- and full-day session options are available.
• Virtual media training workshops. Zoom-based presentations, discussion, and breakout-group activities. Two-hour, half-day, and full-day sessions are available. All half- and full-day workshops include optional one-on-one follow up consultation sessions during which individual participants can discuss specific concerns and situations with a SciLine staff member.
• Conference workshops. SciLine can facilitate pre-conference media training workshops, or sessions that are part of a formal conference program agenda. Half-day and full-day workshop options are available, and conference sessions can be flexible to meet your program’s needs.
