No-cost media training workshops

SciLine’s mission includes amplifying the voices of scientists from diverse backgrounds, for the public good. We recognize that not all scientists and research institutions have equal access to the kinds of media training that can expand the reach and impact of their expertise.

That’s why SciLine offers free, full-day, on-site training workshops. These workshops are subsidized by revenue from a separate track of paid offerings and enable SciLine to support a broader, more diverse community of scientists and research organizations.

SciLine’s free media training workshops include presentations, activities, and discussions centered on communication skills and media familiarity, with optional modules to personalize the curriculum for your needs.

We open applications twice per year and select a limited number of groups to receive free, on-site workshops based on need and mission alignment.

• Applications for workshops to be scheduled in spring and summer 2027 will open in August.
