Science Essentials for Political Reporters
In August 2019, in Des Moines, Iowa, SciLine hosted a 2.5-day boot camp for local and national political reporters from across the country. During the event, expert faculty from seven universities and research institutions shared key science concepts that every journalist covering the election needs to know. To benefit all reporters covering the 2020 election, SciLine has created seven very short, clear summaries that distill the basics participants learned at the boot camp. Any journalist can use and pull from these summaries as needed for news stories.
